I moved to Hong Kong with my family in 1995 where I was first exposed to a multi-cultural environment and this gave me the opportunity to learn more about different cultures, new languages and meet friends from different ethnicities. This adjustment also gave me the chance to grow holistically as a person and helped me better interact with other people. Growing up in a big family, I have always looked up to my parents whom I consider my best teachers. They have taught me and my siblings the importance of education and how we should never stop learning each and every day.
After I completed my Bachelors Degree of Media Production from a University, I am a firm believer that effective communication is a vital life skill. I have always engaged in activities that helped develop my confidence and communication skills as I was growing up.
Though my earlier professional career started off in the sales and marketing industry, I have always been passionate about teaching, communicating and public speaking. In the past, I did my part time job to tutor kids who were interested in learning the English language, improve their speaking abilities and develop their confidence through public speaking. Besides, I did volunteer work and provided assistance to teachers to care for kids who were mentally and physically incapacitated. I was also given the opportunity to teach Sunday school classes to young women.
I am so grateful to have been given this privilege to be a part of Maple Tree Education Centre and I look forward to providing our students an interactive, fun and friendly learning environment.

I was born and educated in UK with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree and TEFL Certificate. After my studies, I worked as a professional career coach for four years where I taught students of diverse background and mixed abilities.
My vision is to inspire those I meet to fulfil their potentials and achieve their goals. I believe everyone deserves an equal chance especially with children where their values and confidence are built from a young age.
For me, being in the educational field is more than just a job. Teaching and being able to make a positive impact in each other’s life is what I stand by. Therefore, as an English teacher, I bring huge passion, love and commitment to nurture each child individually.
In my free time, I like to travel, meet new people and learn new things to broaden my horizon!

I am originally from Australia. I hold a Bachelor of Education in English Language Education and a certificate in TESOL. Apart from being an English teacher for more than ten years, I am also an experienced drama teacher, playwright, dance choreographer and an author of children storybooks.
My love for the creative and performing arts has taken me on many different and amazing journeys along my career and has shaped me into becoming a more innovative and diversified teacher. I bring together my experience in different fields to create an all-rounded learning experience in the classroom.
It is my goal to ignite creativity, imagination and a love for the English language in my students through fun and interactive activities. I encourage my students to express their feelings, thoughts, and ideas in creative ways through reading, speaking, writing and drama.
My students love coming to English class because there is never a dull lesson. I make sure they have FUN while they are also LEARNING something interesting. I want my students to grow up with a desire for learning and a passion that will drive them to wherever their dreams may be.

Miss Rabia
My family and I moved to Hong Kong when I was a teenager. Being raised in a multicultural city allowed me to deepen my knowledge and provided me with insight of different cultures.
I have completed most of my studies in Hong Kong. My Bachelors in English for International Corporate Communication has developed me into a competitive communicator as well as polished my leadership and interpersonal skills, which I think will be very useful in my teaching career. Moreover, I have developed a deeper understanding of the English language in terms of literature and language arts in language teaching, as well as social and psychological aspects of language learning through my Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
To me “Knowledge” is a light in everyone's life and teachers are the source of bringing that light to the students' lives. In my view of education, each learner is unique and should be provided with a stimulating environment that facilitates their growth emotionally, mentally, physically and socially. In order for students to achieve their full potential, I am committed to creating a student-friendly atmosphere. With four years of my English teaching experience at different institutions, I am capable of identifying learners’ linguistic needs to teach them accordingly. As a teacher, I am able to create an environment where students can share ideas without any fear or hesitation.
My goal is to provide students with a safe, supportive and interactive learning environment at Maple Tree Education Centre. Thus, I am extremely grateful to be a part of this wonderful team.

Miss Esha
I moved to Hong Kong when I was young. Being born into a bicultural family and experiencing diversity – I could instantly adapt to changes. Last year, I graduated with an honour’s degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I picked up invaluable transferrable skills that I can incorporate into various aspects of my life and career ahead. With big goals, I plan to pursue my next degree in education to better equip myself with more knowledge and greater teaching practices to become an even better educator.
I have always been interested in teaching. I volunteered to supply after-school tutorial classes to primary students in an NGO and taught my younger siblings, which fuelled my passion. Thus, I could not be more ecstatic after landing my first teaching job and have gained a great deal of experience, knowledge, and skills, and creating wonderful relationships with my students was just rewarding.
Every classroom has its unique community. My goal is to always provide a safe, caring, and fun environment where my students can truly express and be themselves, and blossom and grow. It is truly a privilege to be part of the Maple Tree Team!

Miss Emily
Hello, I am Ms. Emily, I have completed my Bachelor degree in Media and Communication from an Australian university in Hong Kong and I have a TEFL certificate as well. Teaching has always been a passion for me as I started teaching at a very young age. I have around 5-6 years of teaching experience and I will always cherish all the moments I have with my students. I have experience teaching in pre-schools, kindergarten schools, primary schools, secondary schools as well as education centres. In all these years, my passion for teaching kids grew a lot and it made me realise how much I enjoy being around children, time really goes fast when you do something you love. I think the best way to get along with students is to make the class as energetic as possible because I strongly believe that the students will catch the energy the teacher gives in class. Therefore, I do my best to be positive and energetic every lesson. I do my very best to get to know each student deeply in order to understand them better. Teaching is not only about learning, it also helps with building confidence, speaking, reading and so much more. I hope I can build up the confident of each student especially when they communicate in English. Looking forward to teach in Maple Tree & to meet all the lovely kids.

Miss Michelle
Being raised in Singapore and studying in American international schools was so different from the environment I grew up in. Being raised in a country and being able to travel to places around the world where English was a luxury, you realize how lucky you are to be able to speak a language where other countries had people who found it difficult to speak and write.
My passion for teaching came natural to me as I love children. Having one child of my own who is different has spurred me on to find different ways to deal with kids as every child is special and different in their own way. I was lucky to be able to work in different industries and still be able to experience different things in life, but I have always fallen back on teaching as it became natural to me, especially after becoming a mother.
My goal is to always provide a safe space for kids to be able to be their own self and express themselves to their full extent. I am looking forward to teaching in Maple Tree and to meeting all the kids and creating a fun learning experience.
